About Your Host, Luanne Hunt
Despite enduring severe emotional abuse as a young girl, country recording artist/journalist/author/speaker Luanne Hunt found a way to silence the naysayers and live the life of her dreams.
Through hard work, perseverance and extreme focus, the Pennsylvania native has become one of the most successful independent artists on the music scene. She is best known for her holiday hit, “Christmas Without You” (“Patsy Cline’s Lost Christmas Song”). The tune is well on its way to become a seasonal staple and in 2015, was named by Dagens Nyheter (Sweden’s largest daily newspaper) one of the Top 25 Christmas songs of all-time. In addition, the song has been praised by Universal Music Group, Truckers News, Autostraddle Magazine and many other blogs and publications.
Along with “Christmas Without You,” Hunt has scored numerous No. 1 country hits on independent charts around the world. The Grammy-balloted songbird was recently inducted into the Independent Superstars Hall of Fame and also is a four-time American Songwriting Awards winner.
Over her 20-year career as a freelance journalist, Hunt has written countless newspaper and magazine articles in the areas of entertainment, human interest, lifestyle and natural health. Her stories have appeared in the Victor Valley Daily Press, Los Angeles Daily News, Pasadena Star-News, San Bernardino Sun, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Redlands Magazine, Riverside Magazine and Living Light News.
Some of Hunt’s notable features and interviews include celebrities, such as Ray Charles, Naomi Judd, Jon Bon Jovi, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Wayne Newton, Three Doors Downs, Will Ferrell, Jewel, Paul Anka, George Jones, Trisha Yearwood, Styx, Bob Newhart and Randy Travis, to name a few.
On the speaking front, she has toured the country delivering inspirational talks at women’s events, conferences and other public events.
